Unlike in the US, in most other countries (like in the EU), if you are born in a nation or become a citizen of that nation you are that nationality of that country without mentions of your ancestry
Everywhere else in the world doesn't insist on being called by their ancestors nationality. If your born in America you are American, your heritage may be Asian or Italian or Irish but YOU ARE STILL AMERICAN. Even if you parents were from another country but you are born in another country and decide to reside there and have a passport for that country that is your nationality. E.g Nobody in Europe says I'm Asian Italian or I'm Indian Spanish.
So nation wide means anyone who is born in the a nation or becomes a citizen of the nation regardless of their ancestry, race-ethnicity, or other id factors
